Christine Hodgson
Chairman, Capgemini UK plc
Christine Hodgson, is the Chairman of Capgemini UK plc. Previously, she was Chief Executive Officer for Capgemini’s Technology Services Strategic Business Unit in North West Europe and Chief Financial Officer of Capgemini UK plc and also the Group’s Global Outsourcing Division. She has been with Capgemini for 11 years.
After graduating from Loughborough University with a First Class Honours degree, Christine qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers and Lybrand. She spent three years as an auditor and then five specialising in Corporate Finance.
From Coopers, she joined one of her clients, Ronson plc as Corporate Development Director with responsibility for acquisitions and disposals. During her 4 years with Ronson Christine also played a leading corporate recovery role after a devastating fire nearly destroyed the company. From Ronson, Christine joined Capgemini.
Christine sits on the Board of Business in the Community, one of the HRH Prince of Wales’ charities. She is also a board member of MacIntyre Care, a leading charity providing services for individuals with learning disabilities.
In 2008, Christine won the Finance Woman of the Year at the First Women Awards. The awards recognize women who are pioneers in business, particularly those who help remove barriers and open up opportunities for others to follow. She is an advocate of flexible working both for herself and her team.
