We are delighted to announce that from April 2007 many of the work streams of Business Community Connections (bcconnections) will be incorporated into Business in the Community (BITC) under the leadership of Fabia Bates, former chief executive of Business Community Connections, who will be joining BITC as its new Employee Volunteering Development Director.
Both organisations have a long track record of encouraging meaningful partnerships between businesses and charities that result in a positive impact in local communities. In the eight years since it was formed, bcconnections has worked with well over 500 voluntary and community organisations across England and Wales and has directly helped to generate partnerships with businesses with a value exceeding £750,000.
BITC will be working to apply the valuable experience of bcconnections to forge stronger more effective partnerships with local communities. bcconnections will cease trading as an independent entity from end March 2007.
