Partnership Academy

The Partnership Academy is a network that also provides training and support for people involved in sustainable neighbourhood renewal programmes. The academy aims to build better partnerships between businesses, the public services and the voluntary and community sectors.

Background

The Partnership Academy & Business Brokers programme is part of Business in the Community's wider campaign on regeneration. We aim to increase the strategic impact and scale of business support for regeneration and neighbourhood renewal.

Business in the Community has 20 years of experience in brokering business-community partnerships.

From 2002 to 2005 we worked with the Government to support pilot business brokers to increase business engagement in Local Strategic Partnerships and Neighbourhood Renewal. The Partnership Academy's services are now available beyond the 10 pilot areas. You can find out more about the Business Broker Pilot by reading our publication on the role of business in neighbourhood renewal.

The Partnership Academy's work is led by Business in the Community's Business Action on Economic Renewal team and is currently funded by the Department of Communities and Local Government.
