Supported by CBI, DES and DTI together with Northern Foods, Reckitt & Colman, Rowntree Mackintosh and Courtaulds, HTI was founded as the charity ‘Headteachers into Industry’ offering teacher secondments into business

Young Enterprise

Young Enterprise

Young Enterprise offers a range of enterprise programmes to young people between the ages of 4 and 25 years. The charity works with more than 300,000 students per year engaging the support of 3,500 UK businesses, and a network of 5,000 Young Enterprise volunteers.

SSAT

The SSAT (Specialist Schools and Academies Trust) works with headteachers, teachers and students to encourage them to develop and share new and effective teaching and learning practice, and to improve schools to raise standards and levels of achievement.

United Learning Trust (ULT)

The United Learning Trust (ULT) was established to create a family of Academies that provide outstanding education and bring out ‘the best in everyone’. It was formed in 2002 as a subsidiary of the United Church Schools Trust (UCST) which has been running high quality independent schools in the UK for more than 125 years. ULT offers the stability of an organisation with a long-term commitment to education in this country and the experience to run successful schools.

ULT is the largest single sponsor of academies. Its 17 academies are inclusive and welcoming schools, where students of all faiths, backgrounds and abilities are valued and respected.

Future Leaders

Future Leaders is a leadership development programme for teachers with the commitment to improve the life chances of pupils in disadvantaged areas and the talent to become heads after four years.

It offers an accelerated path to headship for qualified current - and former - teachers who believe passionately that every child has the potential to succeed, regardless of background.

Future Leaders began in London in 2006 with 20 participants. Today, there are now over 280 Future Leaders working in more than 200 challenging schools across five regions impacting on the life chances of at least 200,000 pupils in disadvantaged areas.
