NORSYS (France) – Training Days for Jobseekers Facing Discrimination
European Volunteering Awards Winner - Small Company, Launched in 2008, this programme provides employability training sessions run by Norsys employees, including its President, for jobseekers who have experienced discrimination and other difficulties in their search for work. This programme is part of the policy of fighting discrimination at Norsys, a company of 220 employees.

Freshfields - Ready for Work
The Ready for Work programme helps participants improve their employability skills and chances of gaining employment, whilst driving benefits for the business. Freshfields hosted 11 placements in 2010, with 27% of participants having their placements extended and 45% going on to gain full time employment.

When Winnie Darkes left prison she was determined to improve her life but lacked the recent experience to get a job. Business Action on Homelessness (BAOH), Carillion and the Employment Access Team (EAT) in Birmingham gave Winnie the help she needed to get herself back to work and on the path to a better future.
