Job coaching

Job coaching is a national initiative that provides business coaches for homeless people who have completed the Ready for Work programme. Companies can offer job coaching independent of Ready for Work.

Our coaches develop effective communication, management and interpersonal skills and gain great satisfaction from supporting someone who has experienced homelessness to gain employment."

Tim ParkesPartner, Herbert Smith

The support of a job coach plays an integral role in sustaining ready for work clients in employment.

In addition to keeping their coachee motivated, coaches assist with structuring their job search, CV presentation and their interview technique, help them to prepare for interviews, and analyse the feedback they get.

Companies such as Barclays Plc, Cadbury Schweppes, Cadbury Trebor Bassett, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Herbert Smith and KPMG and have all been involved in the provision of job coaches.
