Strategy and Vision

Our vision is for all homeless people and those at risk of homelessness in the UK to have the opportunity to gain and sustain employment. We achieve this through the delivery of our Ready for Work programme and through campaigning initiatives.

Business Action on Homelessness (BAOH) aims to remove cultural and structural barriers to employment for homeless people or those at risk of homelessness. We believe that businesses should be part of the solution - not just because it's the right thing to do, but because this offers great business benefits. Businesses can offer unique support through employee volunteering, work placements and training.

The role of business in BAOH

BAOH business partners believe that social issues are business issues. To thrive commercially, companies must be tuned in to the issues that affect the communities in which they operate. Our Ready for Work programme and campaign gives our companies the opportunity to make a positive difference to homeless individuals and to their businesses.
