Employee Volunteering Check Up

The Employee Volunteering Check Up is a new tool for practitioners to support the development of their organisation's volunteering programme. It is not a formal benchmark or index but a library of information, templates and tools to help and inspire good volunteering practice.

How does it work?

Answer five simple questions and receive an instant report with tailored advice on your employee volunteering programme, showing best practice and how to develop your:

• Business case
• Programme management
• Volunteering opportunities
• Employee engagement
• Reporting and sharing best practice

This report can be downloaded, printed or saved and includes links to the relevant sections of our new resources library. Here you’ll find a rich mix of stories, case studies, templates and “talking heads” to inspire and support you from 36 leading companies, including 23 CommunityMark achievers.

You may find you’re already doing some of the next steps we recommend, but will still find it useful to see how other employers have managed this aspect of their programmes.

“I urge all employers with an interest in or programme of employee volunteering to use the Employee Volunteering Check Up. This is an essential new resource and a great way to learn from others, plan your next steps and make a bigger difference in the community.”

Truett Tate, Group Executive Director, Lloyds Banking Group and Chair, Employee Volunteering Leadership Team
