Give & Gain with us...

On 18 May Give & Gain Day 2012, Business in the Community is arranging hundreds of exciting projects across the UK.

Contact your local Give & Gain Day team for a meaningful, quality-assured volunteering experience.

The type of projects that we will be offering throughout the UK will vary a little region to region according to local need and capacity, but there will be an emphasis on Careers and Employability through projects such as:

  • A Behind the Scenes visit for service users or pupils at a local company
  • Creation of a ‘Reading Garden’ or ‘Science Garden’
  • Reading workshops
  • Employability workshops with CV/Interview skills sessions

In addition, as engaging with business volunteers on even more general team challenges can also provide an opportunity to raise service users/pupils’ awareness of the world of work, we will look to enable the volunteers to introduce themselves and speak about their organisation/job roles during a school assembly/presentation at some point during their challenge.
