Let’s Get Cooking is backed by £20 million from the Big Lottery Fund and led by the School Food Trust. The programme's principal partners are Business in the Community, The Prince’s Trust and Magic Outcomes. Let's Get Cooking is also supported by advisors,The British Nutrition Foundation and the Royal Society for Public Health.

The Big Lottery Fund has granted £20 million to Let’s Get Cooking to set up the first 5,000 cookery clubs across England. The substantial funding award will enable the School Food Trust in partnership with Business in the Community, the Prince's Trust and Magic Outcomes to deliver the projects aims and objectives.

The School Food Trust, through Let's Get Cooking, is setting up a national network of cooking clubs. Through these clubs, children, young people, their families and the wider community learn new cooking skills and eat 'good food that is good for you'. 

The School Food Trust is a non-departmental public body that aims to transform school food and food skills, and promote the education and health of children and young people. The trust aims to achieve this by improving the quality of food supplied and consumed in school.

The Prince's Trust

Healthy Eating through xl, led by the Prince’s Trust, is engaging more than 7,000 young people on a two-year healthy eating programme within their existing xl clubs over five years. As well as directly benefiting these young people, the Prince’s Trust has developed materials for Let’s Get Cooking clubs in secondary schools.

The Prince’s Trust xl clubs is a personal development programme in schools for pupils at risk of truanting and under-achievement. Clubs aim to improve attendance, self-esteem, motivation and social skills.

Supporting School Leadership, led by Magic Outcomes, facilitates school food vision development programmes in primary schools from some of the most deprived areas in London and Yorkshire.

Magic Outcomes is an innovative social enterprise that provides school-based training and development programmes to organisations wanting to pursue their commercial objectives and deliver on socially responsible outcomes.

The Royal Society for Public Health is an independent, multi-disciplinary organisation, dedicated to the promotion and protection of collective human health and well-being. The Society supports Let's Get Cooking through consultation and accreditation of training for clubs.

The British Nutrition Foundation

British Nutrition Foundation logo

The British Nutrition Foundation is providing input into the resources, recipes and activity packs for Let’s Get Cooking clubs and training for club demonstrators.

The Foundation promotes the nutritional wellbeing of society through the impartial interpretation of knowledge and advice on diet, physical activity and health. It works in partnership with academic and research institutes, the food industry, educators and government.
