National Pro Bono Week events

From 9 - 13 November 2009 national and regionally-specific events will be held to celebrate the efforts of professional volunteers who provide free specialist services to support local communities throughout the UK.

09 November 2009: Joint National Pro Bono Conference

The second Joint National Pro Bono Conference organised by LawWorks, the Bar Pro Bono Unit and ILEX Pro Bono Forum supported by the Law Society of England and Wales, the Bar Council and the Institute of Legal Executives. Contact: Ming Kong.

11 November 2009: Learning Lunch

12 November 2009 - Professional Advice Surgery

12 November 2009: Celebrate, Communicate, Connect - Giving time, making a difference
St Werburgh's Centre, Horley Road, Bristol BS2 9JT, South West

Held in partnership with ILEX, the Law Society and Legal Support Trust, this reception celebration of pro bono work in Bristol will also showcase the St Werburgh's Centre and GSS Architect partnership, and 1624 Independent People collaborative project. Contact: Jo Le Poidevin.

12 November 2009: Junior Lawyers Division Pro Bono Awards

13 November 2009 - Attorney General's MPs Reception

Hosted by the Attorney General, the reception will bring together pro bono agencies, local heroes from across England and Wales, and Ministers to raise the profile of pro bono work in Parliament.

The advisory event will provide community organisations with the opportunity to meet with Manchester ProHelp partners and other professional firms.
