In the summer of 2012 the world’s biggest event takes place in the UK.  Hosting the Olympic & Paralympic Games presents a unique opportunity for the economic and social regeneration of some of the most deprived communities in the country.

In response to this challenge Business in the Community has created arc: building better business.  We will use the excitement and profile of the Games as a catalyst to create 1,000 jobs in the host boroughs by 2015, by supporting the creation and growth of social enterprise.

arc is a service for social enterprises, connecting them with expert support and business opportunities to help them grow

arc is supported and funded by our Corporate Partners, BP and Deloitte, both Olympic Sponsors.  Our lead strategic partner is Social Enterprise UK. Social Enterprise UK.     The six ‘host boroughs’ of Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest, Greenwich and Barking & Dagenham are some of the most deprived in the country. 

     

    arc will use the Games as a catalyst to generate 1,000 jobs in the host boroughs by 2015.
