Stakeholder engagement
Why is stakeholder engagement important for corporate responsibility?
Corporate responsibility is about improving the impact of a business on society and the environment – your stakeholders. Engaging your stakeholders gives you insight into what they are most concerned about, what they think of your business, and what they want for the future.
There are many reasons to engage with stakeholders, most of them all fall within these themes:
- Build trust in your business
- Mitigate risks by knowing what is concerning those around you
- Identify opportunities for doing things better
Who should attend?
Anyone who is looking to add value to the business through stakeholder engagement. This could include CR practitioners who would like to develop their understanding of how to improve the transparency of the organisation, and to better understand the role of stakeholders and how they can be involved in strategy development, innovation, risk management and reporting.
