Rita-Sue Meintjes has worked in Standards development since 2004. Focusing on the development of standards to support professional development of individuals across a number of sectors. The focus of activities at the CIPD has been the development of the CIPD HR Profession Map.  

The HR Profession Map is a capability framework, that captures what HR people do and deliver across every aspect and specialism of the profession and looks at the underpinning skills, behaviours and knowledge that they need to be most successful. It sets out what great HR looks like and what HR needs to do to deliver sustained organisation performance now and in the future. It has been the driver for change at the Institute, which has supported the introduction of new qualifications and new membership criteria.  

Rita-Sue Meintjes has also developed My HR Map, a new self-assessment tool for members based on the CIPD Profession Map and the latest initiative launched to support professional development and improve performance of practitioners.
