All businesses, whatever the size of their operation, can benefit from joining forces with social landlords and getting involved in the social and economic regeneration of areas.

With large pockets of concentrated deprivation found within the social housing sector, social landlords are uniquely placed to bridge the gap between their tenants, business and other stakeholders.

As such they offer access to some of the most under served markets for goods and services and the potential to tap into a significant pool of labour.

This workshop will see the West Midlands launch of Business in the Community's recent research into partnerships between businesses and social landlords.

Through case studies featuring both businesses and housing associations, the workshop will show the practical aspects of partnering the two sectors to achieve greater positive impact in disadvantaged communities

What will I get out of attending?

Both the toolkit for business and guidance note for social landlords have been designed to guide your organisation through the process by helping you to identify opportunities for partnership and to learn from other's experience.

The workshop will offer:
* Practical case studies from those who have already benefited from such collaboration
*Advice and guidance on forming partnerships
*Opportunity to share your experience with peers
*Networking with other organisations and businesses.

Organised in partnership with Sustainability West Midlands and Wates Living Space. Hosted by West Midlands Centre of Construction Excellence.
