Business in the Community operates an international campaign to support businesses across the Corporate Responsibility agenda using the Millennium Development Goals as a framework against which to assess progress.
As part of this work we are holding a series of International meetings kindly hosted by members of the International leadership Team at BITC. The meetings are for Chairmen, CEOs and Board Directors (or equivalent) of businesses operating in the particular country.
Please contact Jenny Todd Jenny.Todd@bitc.org.uk or on 0207 566 8744 for more details.
The purpose of these business meetings is to discuss the key corporate responsibility challenges facing business in country, the priorities in the community, workplace, environment and marketplace, and to identify priorities for the next 18 months, exploring how best we as businesses working collaboratively can address these priorities.
After successful meetings in China, India and South Africa with tangible programmes of work underway, the next meeting will be hosted by Javier Arrigunaga, CEO of Grupo Financiero Banamex on 31 January 2012.
Outcomes: In the short term, a group of companies inspired and willing to work together supported by local partners and Business in the Community, to develop relevant collaborative action to address key social and environmental issues in Mexico.
