According to the former president of Costa Rica, climate change is the biggest business opportunity of all time. The way Costa Rica transformed its economy is an example to the business community. Starting from a base of limited resources, its transition to a low carbon economy created new jobs and massive new industry in ecotourism.

“Choosing between the economy and the environment is a false choice, we can have both”, he said.

The BITC Responsible Business Convention welcomed over 400 attendees and 75 speakers from across the globe to discuss sustainable business models in a low carbon economy.  Next year's event will take place on the 14 - 15 March 2012 at Business Design Centre, London.
