The CommunityMark is the UK’s only national standard that publically recognises excellence in community investment.
All too often, investors are uninterested in the sustainability performance of the companies they invest in. The Investor Project aims to provide CR professionals and CEOs with insight and tools to explain to shareholders the value of sustainability in protecting or creating competitive advantage.
The CR or Corporate Responsibility Index helps identify gaps for improvement and reinforces good practice, track progress over time and drive continuous improvement, benchmark performance against peers and leading practice and engage board members and raise awareness of CR issues internally.
Community footprint
A community footprint is made up of the difference a company makes to the local economy, local people and locality it works in. Business in the Community is currently developing tools to help companies measure the impact they make on their communities.

Dr Zigs Extraordinary Bubbles is a family-owned micro business that manufacturers sustainable giant bubble toys and mixes and performs at events and has recently diversified into an on-site Bubble Barn (shop) and Café. 
Wales & West Utilities (WWU) doesn’t sell gas; it uses its extensive network of pipes to transport gas to homes and businesses throughout Wales and the south west of England.  It responds to gas emergencies, and invests £2m every day across the network, connecting new properties and replacing old metal pipes with new long lasting plastic ones. 
Rhondda Housing Association (RHA) is a 37-year old not-for-profit social landlord that manages over 1,700 homes, provides housing support for vulnerable tenants and works to alleviate poverty in communities across Rhondda Cynon Taf.
