Awards for Excellence 2009 Big Tick winners and re-accreditations

Across these two categories  and over the past three to four years, 10 companies achieved a Big Tick, and 12 companies were re-accredited with Big Ticks. We inspire and support business to put responsible business practice at the heart of how money is made. We work with businesses to address their responsibility in their core business operations, through their customers, suppliers, products and services and their business integrity. Our priorities for 2009 are Responsible Marketing and Responsible Supply Chain Management.

What makes a company count in the marketplace?

  • Developing new products and services ...

to address social or environmental problems or to serve new (underserved) markets.

  • Meeting the needs ...

of vulnerable customers and making sure they are not exploited.

  • Understanding its supply chain ...

the risks and the stakeholders affected by it and working with suppliers to manage these risks.

  • Working with legislators ...

and regulators to help the business to enjoy business success whilst serving the public interest.

  • Meeting minimum standards of behaviour ...

in areas where laws or standards are absent, or not enforced – for example, human rights or working conditions.
