Vincent de Rivaz, Chief Executive of EDF Energy, launches inquiry into leadership skills for a sustainable economy
To enable business to lead the transition to a low carbon and sustainable economy, it is critical that individuals are equipped with the skills they need.
In recognition of this, Vincent de Rivaz, in his role as HRH The Prince of Wales’s National Ambassador, is leading an inquiry into skills for a sustainable economy. Business in the Community is working with EDF Energy to undertake this work.
Core to the inquiry is an online survey being undertaken by Ipsos MORI that all Mayday and BITC members have been invited to complete. The survey aims to gain a thorough insight on the state of play regarding skills for a sustainable economy within business, the priorities for further developing these skills, and how to address those skills gaps uncovered.
The results will be written up into a report and will be used to identify skills training programmes which can be made accessible to UK businesses. If you haven't already done so, please take time to fill in the survey. It doesn’t matter how much thought you have given to this topic before – we are simply interested to hear your honest views.
If you would like to learn more about the inquiry please contact Libby Sandbrook libby.sandbrook@bitc.org.uk.
