ENGAGE Skills for Employability Laboratory presents findings

At the 'Equipped for CSR' event held in Brussels on December 4, ENGAGE presented the findings of a research project that demonstrates how employee volunteering can improve the employability and skills of disadvantaged groups across Europe.

The event was convened by CSR Europe, and European Commissioners Günter Verheugen, Vladimir Spidla and MEP Richard Howit made keynote speeches.

ENGAGE is Business in the Community's international programme that brings together businesses and community organisations around the globe to increase the quality and amount of employee involvement in their local communities.

The research project was undertaken by the ENGAGE Skills for Employability Laboratory, and was a joint effort of all the companies supporting ENGAGE; led by Citi, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and KPMG with research partner 3C/UPJ.

You can view the full report including findings and recommendations and case studies at the Skills for Employability page.

The Laboratory's recommendations also fed in to an online CSR Toolbox, which you can view on the CSR Europe website »
