ACC Liverpool, home to the BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena, are proud to be hosting Business in the Community’s Give and Gain Day event 2010.

Employee volunteers from Adullam Homes, British Transport Police, Cafe Sports Express, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Everton Football Club, Total Fitness Liverpool and the region's flagship newspaper the Liverpool ECHO are taking part in providing activities for school children to learn more about living a healthy lifestyle.  Sakura Japanese and Heathcotes of Liverpool are also kindly providing healthy food and refreshments are also being provided for participants through the day.

Further to these activities, a large team from HBOS Corporate Liverpool will be creating a healthy living space and herb garden at the Norris Green Youth Centre to help raise the health agenda in one of Liverpool’s most socially challenged districts.

"These companies are joining over 250 other businesses in the UK’s largest day dedicated to employee volunteering.  The companies that are taking part in Give & Gain Day know that employee volunteering is a very cost-effective and valuable way to invest in their people’s time and skills to make a lasting difference to the young people and community groups that they work with."
