Corporate Citizenship

Accenture is committed to being a good corporate citizen and playing its full part in society. This includes building mutually beneficial relationships with clients, employees and the broader community. Its aim is to integrate the principles of good corporate citizenship into everything that it does and to make positive contributions to the communities in which it operates.

Accenture considers good corporate citizenship inseparable from good business and it therefore makes sense for its business strategy to include investment in those communities. Corporate citizenship is an ethos that pervades Accenture's work.  Within the United Kingdom, Accenture has identified four main areas of focus for corporate citizenship:

Environment
Accenture's environmental programmes look at ways they can minimise impact on the environment, from paper recycling schemes to greening supply chains.

Giving
As an organisation, Accenture makes a number of grants to charities and other nonprofit organisations. In addition, they offer employees the chance to participate in tax effective giving through payroll schemes.

Inclusion and Diversity
Accenture strive to recognise, understand and nurture individual differences. Their networks and programmes cover: gender, ethnicity, enablement, sexual orientation, religion and belief, age and parents.

Time and Skills
Whether their people want to volunteer with local communities/charities using their three-day annual allowance, work on a project with Accenture Development Partnerships or take a placement with Voluntary Service Overseas, there are opportunities to get involved.
