Allied Bakeries

Allied Milling and Baking is a division of Associated British Foods (ABF) plc, a major bakery goods international business, who’s well known brands include Twinings, Silver Spoon, Primark, Ovaltine and British Sugar. The company has a one-third share of the bread market and owns a Top 10 UK grocery brand – Kingsmill – as well as a branded portfolio of other well-known household names including Allinson, Burgen and Sunblest. They employ more than 300 people in their depot in Belfast.

Allied Bakeries have been involved in providing support to SMEs through the Business to Business Bridge programme. They have also supported essential skills in the workplace through allowing staff to attend essential skills training in work time. Finally they are driving the environmental agenda through their supply chain which is another way the company further demonstrates its commitment to corporate social responsibility.  The company is also involved in supporting a wide range of NI charities.
