Anglia Regional Co-operative Society is one of the largest independent retail Co-operatives in the UK, with in excess of 3700 employees. The business is made up of the following core Trading Groups – Food (Rainbow Foodstores, Co-op Local Supermarkets, Petrol Filling Stations), Non Food (AHF Furniture and Carpet Superstores, Westgate Department Stores, Contact Electrical, Comfortmaker Textiles) and Funerals.

Anglia Society has been associated with Business in the Community since 2003, where its primary focus is in the development of relationships with schools and education.

Being a Co-operative Society, the organisation has strong ethical roots and contributes greatly to the communities it serves.

The Society supports numerous charities through its Share 600 scheme, where members are offered the opportunity to donate their dividend to good causes. Since 1985 more than £486,000 has been donated to local charities.

Society colleagues also contribute to causes at a local level through a wide range of fund raising activities.
