AstraZeneca R&D Charnwood is one of AstraZeneca's nine worldwide research and development sites. Research work is focused on respiratory and inflammatory diseases with development capabilities for pharmaceutical and analytical R&D, process R&D, regulatory and clinical, which are used globally by the AstraZeneca R&D organisation.

AstraZeneca R&D Charnwood Based is based on a 70 acre site in Loughborough, Leicestershire with over 1,200 staff.
The site actively supports the many local organisations that give valuable services to the local community. The focus is on education, particularly science-based initiatives, improving the health and well being of the community and enabling staff to develop and share their skills with local groups.
