Ballymore Properties

Ballymore Properties is an urban regeneration and development company. Founded in Ireland 20 years ago, it has headquarters in Dublin and London’s Docklands. Its activities focus on three key areas: design and build projects, property acquisition and investment handling.

Ballymore was set up by Sean Mulryan in 1982 originally to provide a construction service for people wanting to build their own homes. In the mid-1980s the company began acquiring land and developing residential estates. It now operates in Ireland, the UK (focused on London Docklands) and has recently expanded into Central Europe. It currently has projects worth over $20 billion in development.

Ballymore’s approach to corporate responsibility is focused on the communities in which its sites and developments are located. In the UK, its priority is the communities within the Isle of Dogs where its offices are located and the East End of London where the majority of its properties are located. It actively seeks to recruit from the local area and to engage with local schools and community organisations.
