BITC Cymru Members' Forum - Workplace diversity: opportunities & challenges

Time: to

South Wales Fire & Rescue Service Headquarters
Forest View Business Park
Llantrisant CF72 8LX

This event is one of BITC Cymru's regular Members' Forum events. These regular sessions are the main vehicle for sharing best practice with Member companies and providing opportunities to debate these issues in small, roundtable groups.

What are both the challenges and opportunities for employers when it comes to diversity in the workplace? Many workplaces today do not reflect the full diversity of the community in which they operate. However, the most successful organisations are those which benefit from a truly diverse workforce and harness the power and potential of their employees to better understand their stakeholders, customers and communities.

Kindly hosted by the South Wales Fire & Rescue Service, this Forum event will bring together speakers from a variety of organisations to discuss and share some of the challenges and opportunities associated with a diverse workforce. In addition, delegates will have the opportunity to take part in an unconscious bias awareness session with one of Business in the Community's Diversity Advisers.

Drawing best practice from across our network and our broader organisation the Forums are a vital element of our Membership offer. Taking in a broad range of topics from HR to employee engagement; and from measuring community impact to building responsible business strategies, the BITC Cymru Members’ Forums are opportunities for Members to discuss openly the challenges and opportunities they are facing.

Please note that this event is only for Members of Business in the Community. If you would like to find out more about Membership, or our other events throughout the year, please contact BITC Cymru at
