This interactive half day course aims to introduce businesses to employee volunteering as one of the ways in which to invest in their communities, and support a business to identify ways to develop strong partnerships with voluntary sector organisations.

Who is the session aimed at?
Business practitioners with a basic understanding of community investment but who would like to develop further knowledge and insight into employee volunteering in particular, and have little or no experience of working with voluntary sector organisations.
The aim is for participants to leave the session with a good understanding of:
Community Investment – who are your communities? What issues do they face? How can business support?
Employee Volunteering – the business case, creating a culture of volunteering, aligning to your priorities, best practice, skills-sharing
Working in partnership with voluntary sector organisations – how do you identify a suitable partner and develop a mutually beneficial partnership
Trainers will use business case studies to support learning.
The session will be run by Business in the Community, in partnership with the NCVO, and will include joint learning and networking between business delegates and voluntary sector organisations.
