Supporting Local Resilience: BERG Local Resilience Pathfinder & Partnerships Project

BERG is working in collaboration with Local Resilience Forum (LRF) and Partnerships (LRP) across the UK. We recognise the value of working in partnership to deliver effective support before, during and following emergencies.

We bridge the gap that exists between the public and private sectors to assist local communities and businesses following major incidents. We have established a network of Local Business Leads from BERG member companies to support each of the 61 LRF & LRPs in England, Wales and Scotland. Local leads will represent BERG and help harness the resources and capabilities of the wider business sector to enhance community resilience efforts.

We will continue to work in partnership with the Cabinet Office’s Civil Contingencies Secretariat (CCS) and Scottish Government Resilience to ensure we are integrated at both the national and local levels.

The BERG Local Resilience Pathfinder & Partnerships project recognise the valuable contribution of the business sector in support of local resilience and has been developed in collaboration with our strategic members and support national government level. The Partnerships project engages Scotland’s Regional Resilience Partnerships, while the Pathfinder runs for three months and includes seven areas across England with a purpose to understand local needs and increase engagement between LRF, local enterprise teams and the private sector with BERG local business leads helping to catalyse action.
