Centrica signs up to 'Marketplace Responsibility Principles'
Centrica is the lastest company to sign up to the Marketplace Responsibliity Principles, Business in the Community's new framework that companies can use when assessing marketplace strategies.

The gas utility joins 16 other companies committed to demonstating their leadership: Alliance Boots, Barclays, Barratt Developments, Cadbury's, Camelot, Coca-Cola GB, HBOS, ITV, J Sainsbury, Kingfisher, KPMG, Leo Burnett, Tata Consultancy Services, Veolia Environmental Services and Workspace Group.
Sam Laidlaw, chief executive of Centrica, said: "These principles reflect our commitment to achieving the highest possible standards of conduct with regard to our customers and suppliers. We aim to incorporate the principles across all our businesses and we will include a statement to this effect in our next Corporate Responsibility report, due out in May"
The Principles provide companies with a structure to analyse key issues that can arise while making money, and cover relationships with customers and suppliers, impacts of products or services, and how companies work with the rule makers.
