Ricoh Merger With NRG Group

Ricoh UK Ltd (formally known as NRG Group UK Ltd) is one of the largest IT companies in the world with a well established reputation for being a total printing solutions provider. 

In April 2008 NRG Group UK Ltd and Ricoh UK officially merged to create Ricoh UK Ltd. Since the merger, major investments have been made into the organisation with the introduction of a new back office and service management system. During the previous financial year (2007), Ricoh recorded its most successful year achieving sales of almost £300 million.

Ricoh UK Ltd is one of the founder members of the Business in the Community, on a national basis and proud members of the BITC Percent Club with continuously donations ranging from 2.5% to 5.8% of pre-tax profit since 1999 being made.

Ricoh UK Ltd has also been accredited with the ISO 14001 certificate for their Environmental Management Systems in November 2001. The implementation of this demonstrates Ricoh’s recognition of their responsibility for reducing the impact they have on the environment.

The future of our planet is something Ricoh take very seriously and actively encourage and promote this through their annual ‘Eco-Action’ day and the ‘Switch It Off’ campaign.

In addition to these, Ricoh are also aiming to be the one of the first within the IT industry to operate a zero waste to landfill policy and have taken significant steps towards this by opening the UK Green Centre in 2004 where Ricoh components are reused and recycled.

In addition to Ricoh’s association with BITC, CEO, Nigel Palmer, is also an active member on the board of trustees for In Kind Direct and was instrumental in its creation. In Kind Direct is a scheme that enables Ricoh to donate equipment to charities and schools with which they have met 100% of demand from In Kind Direct users.
