Local Impact Awards

Local Impact Awards will also be awarded in the North West. The categories are as follows:

  • The Employee Volunteer of the Year Award - recognising an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to their community through volunteering

  • The Employee Volunteering Company of the Year Award - recognising a business which has engaged employees across the business to make volunteering culturally normal

  • The Building Stronger Communities Award - recognising genuine partnerships between businesses and community organisations, which identify and address a key social issue.

  • The Work Inspiration Award - recognising employers that are inspiring young people through their work experience programmes and enabling those young people to make the connections between the classroom and the world of work

  • The Business Class Award - recognising businesses that have demonstrated how, through a Business Class partnership, they are making a measurable difference within their partner school

  • The Business Resilience Award supported by the Environment Agency - recognising companies that have considered the potential impacts of a changing climate (e.g. extreme weather events such as flooding, drought, storms, snow and heat waves) on their business and have taken creative steps to adapt to these impacts

This year's North West Responsible Business Awards will celebrate this year's Big Tick Winners and will announce the 2013 Sieff Award winner for their work in their local community and the announcement of this year's North West HRH Ambassador.
