Barry Blamire
Managing Director, John Lewis Newcastle
Barry joined John Lewis in 1996 as a graduate trainee in the Newcastle branch (then named Bainbridge) after studying Business Management at Newcastle University.
Over the last twelve years he has held several key roles in the business, including General Manager at Trafford, Peterborough and Liverpool and, more recently Change Manager at John Lewis’s Head Office in London. He took up his new position in Newcastle in August 2008.
At only 33 years of age, Barry is the youngest Managing Director in John Lewis.
