North East Awards for Excellence 2009
2 businesses from the North East have received Big Ticks in Business in the Community’s Awards for Excellence.
The results of Business in the Community’s Awards for Excellence reveal that, despite the recession, businesses in the North East are still focused on the impact that they have on people and the planet.
Karen Wilkinson-Bell, Regional Director BITC North East said “We are living through exceptionally challenging times, and sometimes it is easy to overlook why responsible business issues matter – now, more than ever.
Our Awards for Excellence winners are companies who’ve demonstrated their commitment when the going gets tough, and are to be applauded not only for their success, but also for leading by example in difficult times. Congratulations to all the organisations and individuals here in the North East who have been recognised this year.”
