North West Awards for Excellence 2011
Over 300 guests celebrated responsible business success at the North West Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner on 9 June 2011 at the Imperial War Museum North.
In 2011, nine businesses received 12 Big Ticks of which two were recognised as national Examples of Excellence.
There were five North West Awards recognising the impact that North West businesses are having on the environment and nurturing local talent.
HRH The Prince of Wales announced that Mike Blackburn as his Prince’s Ambassador in the North West for his leadership and commitment to responsible business in the region.
Ruth Ibegbuna was recognised for her work with the RECLAIM project,a Manchester-based project empowering young people across the North West to make positive changes in their communities and to find inner strength and self-belief.
