In 2050 there will be 9 billion people

North West Sustainable Futures Summit 2012

The North West Sustainable Futures Summit on the 1 May 2012 introduced BITC’s new thinking around how we can transform business to deliver 9 billion high quality, sustainable lives by 2050 – the biggest supply chain challenge ever!

What we're working on...

  • The Prince's Mayday Network

The Prince's Mayday Network started out as a journey for companies to measure and reduce their environmental impact however it has now shifted focus to looking at how UK business can transform itself to meet the UK's contribution to the '9 billion' challenge.

  • Start North West

Start is an initiative to help people across the UK lead more sustainable lives. The Prince's Mayday Network  was created in 2007 in response to HRH's challenge to business to address climate change. Start is the next phase in the journey to achieve more energy efficient, cleaner and healthier communities for the future.
