Catherine Mason
Group Chief Executive, NITHC
On 3 March 2008, Catherine Mason took up the position of Group Chief Executive of the Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company and its operating subsidiaries (Translink). She has extensive international transport experience with Arriva where she worked as Managing Director of Arriva Midlands (UK) and Commercial Director of CrossCountry trains.
Earlier in her career she was the UK Marketing and Customer Services Director for Arriva Bus UK. This followed a very successful career in marketing for a number of ‘blue chip’ companies, including Grand Metropolitan, SmithKline Beecham, Dairy Crest and United Biscuits.
She graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BSc in Genetics and has an MBA from Henley Management College (full-time). She is a Chartered Marketer and an elected Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She holds a Certificate of Professional Competence in National Passenger Transport Operations and is a PCV holder.
