Gerry Mallon

Gerry Mallon graduated from Cambridge University in 1992 with First Class Honours in Economics. He joined the Civil Service, became Private Secretary to the Minister for the Economy in Northern Ireland and then moved to IDB becoming Director of International Operations. After five years in the Civil Service he became Senior Strategy Consultant at McKinsey and Co. in London. He joined Northern Bank in 2006 as Deputy Chief Executive and Head of Business Development. Gerry Mallon is a certified Banker and has completed an MBA with the University of Ulster.  In October 2009 he will take up the position of Pro Chancellor of the University of Ulster, at 39 he is the youngest person to hold this post.  Gerry will also serve as Chairman of the University's Council, having been a Council member since 2004.
