Objective 1: Membership
To increase and enhance commitment to corporate responsibility across Northern Ireland.
Business in the Community’s strength lies in the commitment of its members to mobilise and use their resources for good within society. As a coalition of successful, responsible companies, demonstrating the value and importance of membership will be firmly at the heart of our operations during the course of this three year strategy. We will seek to continue the work started during the last strategy period, to help members put corporate responsibility at the heart of their operations – integrated within all aspects of their business and incorporated into corporate culture.
Our focus on membership has three distinct elements:
- Membership growth Growing the membership by almost 30% and engage SMEs in our agenda
- Supporting members on their corporate responsibility ‘journey’ Helping NI companies remain at the forefront of best practice on C R by supporting them at every stage on their journey
- Demonstrating and measuring best practice Rolling out a CR benchmark to help measure NI companies against their peers; developing thought leadership and research on key CR issues
