Supporting the growth and development of small firms and Third Sector
Business in the Community recognises the significant contribution made
to the Northern Ireland economy by the small firms sector and the third
sector, and has created a range of programmes focus on supporting growth
and development within these sectors.
What we're working on...

Connections is a new initiative, funded by ESB Independent Energy,
designed to bring together the owner-manager of a small to medium sized
enterprises (SME) with in-house experts from large companies who will
work with them to address specific development issues.

Since its launch in Northern Ireland in 1989, Business in the Community
has acted as a broker between the private, public and community sectors
working towards the greater sustainability of the voluntary sector. The
voluntary and community sector with assets of over £750 million
represents 4.5% of the Northern Ireland workforce.
