The 14th
Northern Ireland Environmental Benchmarking Survey has been launched by Environment Minister Alex Attwood.
The Survey, run by ARENA
Network, the environmental arm of Business in the Community and supported by
the Northern Ireland
Environment Agency, annually assesses top businesses in Northern Ireland for
environmental management, performance and assurance.
Encouraging businesses and public sector organisations to stand up and
be counted in terms of their environmental actions Environment Minister Alex
Attwood, said:
“One of the most effective ways of achieving
progress is by business and government working together. The ARENA Network
Survey is strategically important for businesses and the public sector because
it challenges all of us to do the right thing to protect our environment while
delivering clear business benefits for participants.”
Peter Dixon added
“The business case is clear - environmental
savings are proven to translate into business savings. I would encourage all
businesses, large and small, from any sector to get involved this year.”Please e-mail rosie.barnett@bitcni.org.uk at
the ARENA Network if you are interested in taking part next year.
