The Prince's Rural Action Programme
The purpose of the Prince’s Rural Action Programme is to engage businesses to make a positive difference to rural communities, through the way in which they do business, in order to sustain the rural economy, protect and enhance the environment and protect the nation’s cultural heritage and landscape.
Guided by our Rural Action Leadership Team, the Programme focuses on these key themes:

Food production and farming is experiencing a crisis of confidence and severe volatility in farm income. Business has a key role to play in helping to secure the future of British farming.

Rural communities face disadvantage and a number of distinct challenges that threaten their future. We are working with business and stakeholders to address these.

The countryside provides vital environmental and cultural services. We are looking at innovative ways that businesses and their customers could contribute to the upkeep of this irreplaceable resource.
