Process
136 employees from the 11 ENGAGE companies helped 20 NGOs in the Czech Republic on 23 September 2011. They worked more than 1000 voluntary hours and instead of their common working tasks they joined more than 8 800 volunteers from all over the world.
ENGAGE in the Czech Republic aims to improve the quality of life in the region and develop partnership between companies and the community.
The 3rd year of the ENGAGE project in the Czech Republic was held in the frame of the European Year of Volunteering 2011 and was organised by Business for Society with the support of CEZ Group. The European Commission Representation in the Czech Republic provided T-shirts for the volunteers.
The voluntary activities varied from manual work, activities with clients to a professional help.

Dilny tvorivosti, o.s.
Five volunteers from Provident Financial helped with the cleaning of the new organization offices and the construction of bird feeders, birdhouses and frames.
Spolecnost pro ochranu Prokopskeho a Dalejskeho udoli
Employees of CEZ Group, Ceska sporitelna and Kooperativa helped to clean one of the Prague forests. They mostly cleaned the ground from wild bushes.
Centrum pro vsechny, o.s.
The volunteers from Tetra Pak cleaned the interiors and exteriors of “Centrum pro všechny”. They harvested fruits for production of bio juice for the children who attended the upcoming event “Artik’s day”.
