Magnox North Wales Cares Team of the Year Award

In May 2009 Wylfa’s Programme Management team experienced a period of rapid change and it was decided that the newly formed team of 34 people may benefit from a team build event. Historically, corporate team build activities ranged from uninspiring workshops to expensive, environmentally un-friendly, high octane activities such as go-karting or quad biking.

The team challenged themselves to embrace Magnox North’s corporate responsibility principles by making a sustainable, positive contribution to the community with a team build activity at Tyddyn Môn - a unique day care, training and support facility for people with learning disabilities living on Anglesey. The team built a new activity in the obstacle course, designed and created an attractive tractor track and painted the outside of the shop – a metal cargo container.
