Highly Commended: Manig Business Advice & Training Ltd

The seminar was very good. It has made me more determined to start my own business. I now know I can make it work.

Manig Business Advice & Training was formed in 2008 as a result of the work undertaken with the Prison Service by its Managing Director, Andrew Manig.

Most of the skills training provided in prison lends itself to self-employment. Manig were challenged by Business in the Community to help ex-offenders with self-employment advice following a Prince’s Seeing is Believing prison visit. As a result they ran a successful series of monthly one day business seminars at two prisons with 200 prisoners having benefited.

Andrew Manig however doesn’t stop there. He freely offers advice and sits on an Employer Leadership Group actively working with the prison and probation service and ex-offenders to ensure re-offending is reduced. Manig organised a brainstorm session at HMP Edmunds Hills to gather ideas for a help and support website for ex-offenders.
