Associate Parliamentary Corporate Responsibility Group

The All Party Parliamentary Group on Corporate Social Responsibility (APPG on CSR) was set up in 2001 by a group of backbench MPs and Peers, led by Baroness Greengross, with the support of Business in the Community.   In 2009 the Officers of the Group decided that the Group should re-establish itself as an Associate Parliamentary Group, so that it could include non-Parliamentarians as Associate members.

The Group now has 133 Parliamentary members, equally divided between the Commons and the Lords, and 83 Associate members, including Business in the Community.  The Associate members include businesses and other organisations of all sizes, representing a wide range of sectors.

The Group's purpose is to promote informed debate and understanding of corporate responsibility and, thereby, to support effective policy development.  It achieves this by providing Parliamentarians and Associate members with an opportunity to meet in Parliament to hear from leading experts and to discuss a wide range of topical corporate responsibility issues.

More information about the Group is available on the Group’s website at: www.apcrg.org.uk

Organisations wishing to join the Group should apply via the website or contact Patricia Constant by email to patricia.constant@centrallobby.com
