A collection of case studies highlighting the excellent work and important role business, in partnership with local stakeholders (such as Local Strategic Partnerships), has played in finding solutions to key local issues like education, crime, environment, health and employability.
In addition to the examples given in the case studies the report contains a menu of practical actions and opportunities for businesses who want to get involved in neighbourhood renewal. This menu draws on Business in the Community's experience and was developed by the ODPM sponsored Private Sector Advisory Panel on Neighbourhood Renewal in December 2004. It provides suggestions for different levels of engagement from providing work experience for secondary school pupils to becoming a member of the LSP board.
