Supporting Sport in Local Communities

Jobsite UK is one of the UK's leading online recruitment sites, founded in 1995 the business has established itself as a key supporter of the local community and BITC.

Headquartered at Langstone Technology Park the business is located between two of the region's most deprived areas - Havant and Portsmouth.

Recognising the challenges these neighbourhoods face Jobsite UK has engaged with local projects to benefit local communities. 

Supporting Sport

Cricket.

Recognising the impact sport can have on young people in local communities Jobsite have helped support local clubs in their surrounding area.

Havant Cricket Club

Since July 2006 Jobsite UK have been sponsoring Havant Cricket Club. The support has enabled the club to develop it's offer to the local community and has been successful in working with young people.    

Recognising the impact sport can have on young people Jobsite have helped subsidise young people between the ages of 16 and 21 in gaining  introductory coaching qualifications. These qualification will allow young people to develop their sporting skills whilst boosting their self confidence.

StreetSport  

StreetSport is a community initiative run by Hermitage Housing in partnership with Havant Borough Council. The programme offers structured sport sessions free of charge to over 250 children during 4 weeks of the school summer holidays. Cricket is one of the initiatives most popular programmes and in a tough economic climate faces a number of key challenges. Jobsite UK are however looking to support the future development of this worthwhile programme.

Chichester Under 8's Rugby Team

The Chichester Under 8's Rugby Team is currently pushing for promotion to the National League. Being a local amateur club  wages are not paid to players with the key aim being to produce and develop local talent. Jobsite UK are proud sponsors of  this local club.

Supporting the Community

Give & Gain Day 2011

Following on from their support in 2010 employee volunteers from Jobsite UK went back to school for the day on Friday 24th June 2011. The team helped support pupils in creating Dickens style characters and in running a mathematic and geographic treasure hunt.

Jobsite UK also worked collaboratively with other local businesses in funding a prize visit to Staunton Country Park for winning pupils.   

Home-Start Havant

This local charity helps support local families with young children. The charity offers a range of services to local families and also offers training sessions to volunteers. Jobsite UK have helped support the charity by purchasing display banners for use at an Employability and Skills fair being held in the area. This activity will ensure that local families are aware of the services offered by Hone-Start.

Other charities and schools supported by Jobsite UK include the Havant Lip Reading and Hearing Loss Service and Barncroft Infant School.  

Supporting BITC

Business in the Community logo

Jobsite UK whilst developing its Corporate Social Responsibility has helped support the South East region of Business in the Community.  The business has helped support local events through pro-bono support and was also lead sponsor for the 2011 South East Community Impact Awards.
