Pat Smith - Area Manager Hampshire

Pat has worked in the Public, Private and Third Sector. She held a senior position as an HR specialist which provides her with the understanding of what businesses gain through CSR involvement. Her dissertation for her M.A. in Manpower Studies looked at what motivates employees, which has given her a full understanding of what employees can gain from volunteering, and the benefits this brings in turn back into the workplace.

Pat has worked for 8 years as a CSR specialist, the last 7 for Business in the Community. As the Area Manager for Hampshire she has developed excellent links with some of the largest organisations based along the South Coast and helped to establish Business in the Community's presence in the South East region.

She ensures she provides a quality service to both business and local community groups, using “fun” as her watch word. Community engagement is one of her most passionate fields having delivered a variety of impactful projects across southern Hampshire.

Although Pat is a Portsmouth girl at heart, she is an Aston Villa football fanatic!
